Empower back pain sufferers with inspiration, insights and tools to transform their lives. But without prolonged periods of unnecessary pain.
Inspire, Empower, Facilitate!
These three words summarise what BackMentorMe is all about.
We aim to inspire by showing you what’s possible. That it really is within your reach to live with less or no pain. Challenging limiting “common knowledge” and limiting beliefs is part of what we do.
Once you are open to the possibility of recovery, you are ready to act. BackMentorMe empowers you to do just that through our simple 4-step model. The model is supported by crowd sourced insights from the Trusted Back Pain Crowd. These are fully or partially recovered back pain sufferers and the experts that helped them get better. So, the focus is on what actually worked, rather than what theoretically should work.
Recovery from back pain is often a bumpy ride. Two steps forward and one back. So, we are there for you when things are not going so great. When nobody else really understands what you are going through, our Transformative Mentoring service helps you get back into the flow of your own recovery.
Social enterprise values
BackMentorMe is part of the social enterprise movement. Our main aim is to change people’s lives for the better. But we also want to help claw back some of the staggering back pain associated productivity losses and treatment costs.
For the US and UK combined, estimated total financial loss to society is USD 60 billion, or GBP 38.6 billion, every year.* For each 1% reduction in average recovery time, $600 million, or £386 million, could be saved annually – not small change!
BackMentorMe resents the many scams on the Internet praying on back pain sufferers in a vulnerable position. BackMentorMe was created for back pain sufferers, by back pain sufferers. So our primary goal is to help rather than “sell”. All content and services are provided free of charge or at an affordable cost.
BackMentorMe is an honest and caring community – we don’t believe in silver bullets. We do, however, believe that access to the right insights and expertise at the right time can shorten the period of suffering considerably.
